Masterclass with Saskia Bonjour “Intersectional perspectives on migration politics and practices”

In this workshop, we explore the possibilities and pitfalls of applying an intersectional perspective to the study of migration practices and politics.
Which methodological tools and conceptual perspectives are best suited to explore how migration and migration governance are gendered, racialized and classed?

Speaker: Saskia Bonjour is associate professor in political science at the University of Amsterdam. She teaches mostly in the field of gender & politics and intersectionality. Her research focuses on the politics of migration and citizenship in the Netherlands and in Europe. She is especially interested in family migration, civic integration, gender and migration, and Europeanisation.
