05 03 2025
Please join us for a CMR seminar series on April 4, 2025: “Digital Nomads: New Ways of Working in the Digital Economy”, hosted by Professor Claire Wallace.
Date and time: Friday, 4.04.2025, 3 PM CET
Venue: Pasteura str. 7, Warsaw (CMR conference room, 2nd floor)
About the event:
In this upcoming hybrid seminar, Professor Claire Wallace (the University of Aberdeen) will explore travel Content Creators as self-employed professionals in the digital economy who move from place to place and could be described as Digital Nomads. Their work involves orbiting between the travel industry and consumers in the form of their online followers, negotiating a precarious existence which is neither spatially nor institutionally anchored. The research was funded by the British Economic and Social Research Council as part of the Digital Futures of Work Research Centre at Sussex University.
This is a hybrid event, taking place at CMR (conference room) and online.
